Kids in Motion
Kids In Motion is a service provided to families of children with special needs. Kids in Motion is a summer program which provides young adults with fun and safe experiences with their peers.
Outings will take place Monday through Thursday. Each day will host a different type of outing, exposing the kids to a variety of experiences. A sample list of the outings for each day of the week is attached in this packet. We have a Monday/Wednesday, Tuesday/Thursday or full week program. Times are 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. each day. Lunch, snacks and refreshments are not included and must be provided by the parents. We suggest packing a lunch, a beverage and snacks in a cooler for each day. Extra water will be provided on outings that take place outdoors. On occasion, we will have a lunch event, but you will be notified in advance and informed of the extra cost. We look forward to meeting you and your child. Space is limited so sign up early.
Career/Job Opportunity Assistance
As a child ages out of the public school system, resources and opportunities become limited and families struggle to find gainful employment or volunteer opportunities for their children with special needs. Phred’s PLLACE believes that every child with a disability deserves the chance to have the opportunity to find employment in a chosen field. Phred’s PLLACE is working hard to assist families with children with special needs get started on their career path. We created Phred’s PLLACE because we wanted to give back the assistance and support we received as a family. We also wanted to provide Jessica with a safe place to live, work, and be a productive part of a business. Jessica loves to cook and plans to open her own small restaurant when Phred’s PLLACE is complete.
